The Versus Experience — CRT DJ Console
A stacked CRT DJ console that processes a live audience feed, connecting performers, viewers and the arcade space.
For The Versus Experience at Circle of Love’s Big Picnik, Television Dust adapted the Cathode Ray Spectres setup into an interactive DJ console within the Versus Arcade space.
The installation used stacked CRT televisions alongside a live camera feed, bringing the audience into the visuals as the DJs performed. Movement from the space was captured, processed and distributed across the screens, allowing the visual composition to shift throughout each set.
The setup extended the CRT installation into a live performance environment, using the screens as both part of the DJ booth and a responsive visual element connecting the performers, audience and arcade space.
