Kadhaigal — Music Video

Created by Television Dust, the music video for Kadhaigal combines performance footage with procedural collage and simple animation.

Footage of Kaber Vasuki and Balan Kash performing the track is layered with imagery drawn from the collage system developed for the project, bringing together historical references, popular culture, text and lyrics.

Made using Smode and Processing, the video moves between live footage and generated visuals, with the composition shifting in response to the music.

Process

The project began with an evolving visual archive rather than a fixed storyboard. Images, lyrics and cultural references were fed into a procedural system, then composed around the energy and structure of the performance.
